Popular TikTok personality, Fati Cele, has been detained by the Kano state Police command following the death of her boyfriend, Ismail Makaye, at her residence in Kano. According to a report by Punch, the police confirmed that the social media personality is currently in custody while investigations continue into the circumstances surrounding the incident. A source alleged that Cele raised an alarm about a fire at her residence, after which Makaye was rushed to a hospital for treatment. He later died. Police spokesperson CSP Abdullahi Haruna confirmed the detention but declined to provide further details, citing ongoing investigations.
