In a striking response to rising temperatures in North India, officials in Gonda district of Uttar Pradesh were seen manually cooling overheated power transformers as extreme heat placed additional stress on electricity infrastructure.A viral video circulating online shows electricity department workers spraying water on transformers while using pedestal fans to bring down operating temperatures. The incident comes as large parts of northern India continue to face intense heatwave conditions and surging power demand.According to reports, the unusual cooling effort was undertaken to prevent transformer failures and maintain uninterrupted electricity supply in the area.
