

Operatives of Ogun State Police Command have arrested a 43-year-old man, Idowu Ashafa, for unlawful possession of human parts and suspected ritual activities in Igbesa The suspect was arrested on Friday, April 17, 2026. Owolabi According to him, the suspect was intercepted in possession of a fresh human head, two human palms, and other human remains concealed in a nylon bag. The PPRO said preliminary investigation had revealed that the suspect allegedly exhumed the remains from a grave at Ido Itekun Village, Igbesa, for ritual purposes. The arrest was made in the early hours of April 17, 2026, during a routine patrol led by the Divisional Police Officer, CSP Solotan K. "The implement used in committing the act was recovered, while the scene was visited and documented. The case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for further investigation.
