
A second suspect has been arrested as part of an ongoing investigation into a school teacher accused of multiple child s3x offences, including r@pe, in Louisiana.Authorities confirmed that Cortney Burleigh, 37, has been taken into custody as a potential accessory to the alleged crimes. Her arrest comes a day after Marisa Noel, 31, was detained over allegations of abusing a fifth-grade student.Burleigh, who was not employed at the school where Noel worked, has been charged with indecent behaviour with juveniles, cruelty to juveniles, and obstruction of justice. If convicted, she could face up to 10 years in prison.Noel, a former teacher at Teche Elementary School, is already in custody and facing a total of 25 charges, including multiple counts of indecent behaviour with minors and possession of child abuse material. Prosecutors later added more serious charges, including r@pe, after identifying a second alleged victim.Officials have not disclosed the full details of the victims, but at least one is believed to be a primary school pupil, typically aged between 10 and 11. Liz Murrill said the investigation remains active, stating it is still very much ongoing.
