
Charlize Theron has opened up about a traumatic childhood incident involving her fathers death, describing it as a life-altering moment that continues to shape her perspective.In a recent interview, the Oscar-winning actress recalled how, at the age of 15, she and her mother were confronted by her father, who returned home intoxicated and acting violently. According to Theron, he forced his way into their home, creating a situation where they feared for their lives.She recounted that she and her mother tried to hold a bedroom door shut as shots were fired through it. In response, her mother, Gerda Maritz, used a firearm to protect them, fatally shooting him.
