A fresh wave of insecurity has hit Lafia Local Government Area of Nasarawa State as yet-to-identified gunmen attacked Angwan Mada community. The gunmen, who attacked the community along Kwandare road on Sunday night, March 29, 2026, k!lled one resident, Jonathan Audu, hours after he moved into his newly built residential home. They also abducted another resident simply identified as Bilyaminu after shooting sporadically, throwing the community into fear. A member of the community who confirmed the unfortunate incident said the assailants were well-armed. The community member said the attackers have already reached out to the family of the kidnap victim, demanding N10 million ransom for his safe release. This is coming barely a day after gunmen attacked Kwarra community in Wamba Local Government Area of the State, where they reportedly kidnapped three persons.
