The Federal Government has resumed the mass trial of suspected terrorists at the Federal High Court in Abuja. The trial, which usually takes place in Kainji, Niger, was moved to the Abuja Division of the court today, June 15. The Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Lateef Fagbemi, is leading the prosecution, while the Director-General of the Legal Aid Council, Aliyu Abubakar, led the team of lawyers for the defence. The trial, which will be taking place in all the courtrooms, is expected to last for four days. Some of the trial judges are Justices Binta Nyako, Emeka Nwite, Musa Liman, James Omotosho, Obiora Egwuatu, and Ekerete Akpan, among others. The suspects are facing charges bordering on terrorism, terrorism financing, and aiding and abetting insurgent activities. .The post FG resumes mass trial of terror suspects in Abuja appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.
