An albino buffalo that went viral for its resemblance to President Donald Trump was spared from slaughter during Eid on Wednesday, May 27. The buffalo, which jokingly earned the name Donald Trump after its photos went viral, was slated to be k!lled during Eid al-Adha this week. The animals owner, 38-year-old Zia Uddin Mridha, sold it before it became a tourist attraction weeks before Eid. Federal authorities in Bangladesh intervened at the eleventh hour, saving the buffalo from neing k!lled for Eid. They cited security concerns and the unusual level of public interest ahead of Thursdays festival, according to a ministry official. Now, the 4-year-old buffalo is being rehomed in the countrys national zoo. While albino buffaloes are remarkably rare in Bangladesh, the animal's internet stardom was ultimately what saved its life. Mridhas younger brother was the first to spot the resemblance between their cattle and the US President.

Mridha insisted that the buffalos temperament is different from Trumps. It is very calm in nature. Albino buffaloes are generally peaceful and do not become aggressive unless provoked, he explained to NDTV.
