"I am glad I can rewrite my story" Nigerian woman kidnapped and imprisoned in Libya shares how her story changed



A woman has shared how different her life currently is 11 years after she left for Libya.  Yakubu Oyiza Hope explained that she travelled to Libya in 2015 for greener pastures. Instead she was imprisoned, kidnapped, and almost sold into human slavery. She also got pregnant and returned to Nigeria two years later in 2017 with a baby.  Sharing the timeliness and how much has changed since the, she wrote on Facebook: "2015- Left for Libya to seek for greener pasture. "2016- Was imprisoned in Libya "2017- Was Kidnapped and nearly sold into human slavery "2017- Came back to Nigeria with a baby "2018- No one wants to employ a nursing mother "2018- Started cleaning, selling Kunu, fries, and hawking. "2019 - Son started schooling and I started working "2020- Diagnosed with depression. "2021- Almost dropped  baby A-W "2021- Started learning tailoring. "2021- Started campaigning against human trafficking. "2022- Intensified my therapy session "2023- Gained admission "2023- Assisted over 500 people from Libya and other countries "2023- Started schooling. "2023- Became an ambassador. "2024- I matriculated and officially became a student of a federal university. "2024- Took an amazing picture with my son, hoping to recreate when I leave school. "2024 -Started my business. "2025 - Featured on many TV shows to talk about human trafficking "2026- Enjoying Year 3 and starting my SIWES program in a government hospital. "2026 - Open my Herbal Academy. "I dont even know what I am writing but I am glad I can rewrite my story." The post "I am glad I can rewrite my story" Nigerian woman kidnapped and imprisoned in Libya shares how her story changed appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.
