Ukraine apologises after drones crash in Finland



Ukraine has apologised to Finland after two drones crashed in the countrys south, saying they were likely diverted off course by Russian interference. A spokesperson for Ukraines foreign ministry, Georgiy Tykhy, said the incident was unintended.Under no circumstances were any Ukrainian drones directed toward Finland. The most likely cause is interference from Russian electronic warfare systems. We have already apologised to the Finnish side for this incident, he told reporters.The drones landed near Kouvola, prompting a response from Finnish authorities, who deployed a fighter jet to assess the situation. The Finnish Defence Ministry said one drone fell north of Kouvola while another landed to the east of the city.Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed he had discussed the incident with Alexander Stubb.
